Ingredients

  • 8 large potato
  • 1 peeled chopped onion brown
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable broth powder
  • 250 g smoked bacon
  • 500 g Brussels sprouts cleaned housed
  • 2 teaspoons lard duck
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin seeds
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • 2 L vegetable broth (liquid)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

method

  • STEP 1 The potatoes peel and cut into chunks. Keep in cold water until it is needed.
  • STEP 2 Prepare the bacon, removing the skin and cut into smaller pieces. Frying with lard in a deep saucepan until golden brown.
  • STEP 3 Add the onion and stir fry until the onion is soft. Add flour, stir and cook cumin seeds 1/2 minutes. Add the potatoes and liquid vegetable broth. Season with stock powder, stir and cover with lid.
  • Step 4 Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are half cooked. Add Brussels sprouts and garlic and cook until the soup soft.Taste and see if something (more salt, etc.) should be added.
  • STEP 5 Serve hot with fresh rolls.

Notes

I use Götzinger speck trademark, and Vegeta stock powder. This could be a quick and easy dinner. If you prefer a thicker soup, add more flour mixed with water, then cook until bubbling. Taste the soup and season again. Everyone has different tastes. Good vision.
