Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 2 teaspoons cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 50 g dark chocolate

Method

  • STEP 1 Sift all ingredients in a medium bowl, add the chopped chocolate and stir until well combined.
  • STEP 2 Keep the hot chocolate mix in an airtight container.
  • STEP 3 To make hot chocolate, add 1 heaping tablespoon of the mix 250ml of milk (or substitute non-dairy) and microwave on medium-high for 1- 2 minutes.
  • Step 4 top with an extra sprinkling of hot chocolate mix, or add a bit 'of whipped cream for a more forgiving feel.

Notes

This recipe makes enough for about 30 hot chocolates.
