Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 500 g meat sausage mince
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 120g of [fruitchutney
  • 5 TBS curry powder
  • 1 condiment
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sesame seeds * to decorate
  • 5 sheets puff pastry

Method

  • STEP 1 fans Preheat oven to 180 ° C forced.
  • STEP 2 Mix all ingredients, except eggs, pastries and seeds together in a large mixing bowl.
  • STEP 3 Place mixture in a line down the middle of the thawed pastry sheet.
  • Step 4 roll in the tube, pinching the seam together.
  • STEP 5 Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Repeat with remaining pastry sheets
  • STEP 6 Slice into smaller portions and place on oven tray.
  • STEP 7 cook for 30 minutes, or until pastry is golden and flaky.

Notes

I use leftover chutney as a dipping sauce. It can also replace chutney and curry with pesto and sun-dried tomatoes.
