Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup hot water
  • 250 g butter
  • 200g baking chocolate dark
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cup self-raising flour

Method

  • STEP 1 in a saucepan over low heat blend, butter, cocoa, chocolate, sugar, vanilla and hot water.
  • STEP 2 When cold, add flour and eggs and mix well. The mixture will be very runny.
  • STEP 3 Pour into a lined 30cm cake tin and bake at 150 ° C for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Step 4 Allow to cool for 5 minutes before turning out.
  • STEP 5 When cool sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • STEP 6 can be served re-heated in the microwave or cold with cream or ice cream.
