- 1 casserole
Ingredients
- 6 peeled potato thinly sliced
- 4 (threads) chicken thighs into cubes
- 1 teaspoon for all seasoning uses
- 1 chopped onion
- 4 of chopped bacon slices
- 8 button mushrooms
- 2 cloves garlic
- 300 ml cream
- 1 cup grated cheese
Method
- STEP 1 Preheat oven to 180 ° C.
- STEP 2 spray a rectangular or square pan with spray oil.
- STEP 3 Layer half the potato slices in the dish.
- Step 4 Fry the chicken in a little 'oil in a frying pan until golden brown, and sprinkle with the seasoning.
- STEP 5 Place chicken on top of the potatoes.
- STEP 6 Fry onion, bacon, mushrooms and garlic in the same pan for a few minutes.
- STEP 7 Place on top of the chicken in the casserole.
- STEP 8 Top with remaining potatoes and pour the cream over.
- STEP 9 Bake for 1 hour, sprinkle with cheese and bake for another 30 minutes. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
Notes
I used the cream light of this and was very happy. We just had that alone, but you can serve it with a little 'salad if you like. This is adapted from a recipe I found in That's Life magazine. Swiss brown mushrooms can also be used.
