Ingredients

  • 2 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 4 banana
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oil

Method

  • STEP 1 Sift the flour and baking soda in a bowl. Add water and mix to a smooth batter.
  • STEP 2 banana peel, cut into three and roll lightly in flour.
  • STEP 3 banana pieces Drop it in the batter and drain the excess batter.
  • Step 4 Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  • STEP 5 Remove, drain on paper towels. Serve warm with ice cream.

Notes

This recipe is a weekly Chinese Women's Cooking Class Cookbook. I used to do this regularly, and always had good results. Were the dessert everyone used to ask when I had people to dinner. The oil is for frying qty so can vary.
