Ingredients

  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 nut beef
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinch * salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons
  • flour
  • 1 sheet pastry
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 * egg to decorate

Method

  • STEP 1 Cook meat and onion until meat is well browned.
  • STEP 2 Add ¾ cup of water, bouillon cubes, sauces and condiments.
  • STEP 3 Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4 of flour mixture and the remaining water, add the meat, bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Fresh.
  • STEP 5 Line a pie plate with the pastry.
  • STEP 6 spoon in the cooled meat mixture.
  • STEP 7 Moisten the edges of dough with water.
  • STEP 8 Top with puff pastry, pressing down to seal the edges, cut and polish with the egg.
  • STEP 9 Bake at 230C for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 10 Reduce heat to 190C for a futher 25 minutes until golden.

Once you try this meat pie you will never want to buy another. Very yummy.
