Ingredients

  • 2 kg round steak (beef) with
  • 500 g pasta sauce
  • 40 g French onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method

  • STEP 1 Putting it all the beef in a slow cooker.
  • STEP 2 Stir in pasta sauce, soup mix and Worcestershire sauce and pour over the beef.
  • STEP 3 Cook on high for 4 hours or below for 8 hours.
  • Step 4 When beef has finished cooking, shred meat in sauce and thicken with corn flour and water combined.
  • STEP 5 Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or pasta.

Notes

I use an onion, garlic and herbs flavored pasta sauce, but you can use any flavor you like.
