Ingredients

  • 2 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
  • 1/4 tsp leaven
  • 1 2/3 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/3 cup water

  • 1 cup icing sugar

Method

  • STEP 1 Mix first 4 ingredients together and set aside.
  • STEP 2 with high speed mixer, beat the next 3 ingredients in a large bowl for 3 minutes. Reduce speed and beat in mayonnaise.
  • STEP 3 Gradually add flour alternately with water.
  • Step 4 Pour into 2 greased and floured 23 cm round tins.
  • STEP 5 Bake at 180 ° C for 30-35 minutes.
  • STEP 6 Cold and ice.
  • STEP 7 Icing: Mix the icing ingredients together, mix and add the powdered sugar until it is the desired consistency.
